Book Review - Into The Darkness

Into The Darkness by K.F. Breene
Book Rating ♥♥  Cover Rating ★★★

Sasha is all grown up and she knows one thing for sure, she's not normal. She sees things that other people don't see in the dark. Shadows that move, that have the shape of a human. A shadow that she is totally drawn too but doesn't understand why.  Is she going crazy.? A secret she has hidden and kept in her secret box or she'd end up in a rubber room.

Jared, the only boy she's ever been with, her first and only boyfriend finds themselves in a nasty part of town one night and they come face to face with monsters, not the human kind.  It's then that she sees him, her secret shadow. He's the biggest man she has ever seen and drop dead gorgeous. He's real and very dangerous.  Her shadow man, The Boss, he's called is drawn to her as well, something he doesn't understand either.  She's different than normal boring humans.

Sasha and Jared embark on a journey of mages, monsters and what appears to be vampires with a tremendous thirst for sex.

Jonas, The Boss, is enchanted with her but a pull that he triea to deny, but he has to protect her until he finds out her secret.  She possess a magic ability that humans just don't have, and one his people can use.

I liked the story line in this book but the reason for a two star rating, the book jumped around too much and about halfway through The Boss suddenly went from Jonas to Stefan.  A complete name change.  I re-read that chapter thinking I missed something but I didn't.  I still have not figured that one out.  His name remained Stefan throughout the rest of the book.  Will I read the second book in the series? No!  As I said, the story line was good but I just am not a Breene fan. Didn't like the style of writing.
